OSLO, July 31 (Reuters) - A vessel is leaking oil after running aground near Langesund on the Norwegian coast during stormy conditions overnight, rescue authorities said on Friday.

Ola Vaage, head of the rescue mission, said 16 sailors had been evacuated from the vessel and seven remained on the ship. The entire crew are Chinese nationals, Vaage said.

The "Full City", registered in Panama, has up to 1,120 tonnes of oil on board, Norwegian newspaper VG reported online.

Television channel TV2 said oil was coming ashore along the North Sea coastline in southern Norway -- a popular summer holiday area west of the Oslo fjord. (Reporting by Wojciech Moskwa and Terje Solsvik)
