| Description: | Scope:
The Health Coordinator is responsible for the implementation of the MOH&SW Basic Package of Health Services in the IRC-Supported MOH&SW facilities in the counties of Nimba and Lofa. Responsibilities: This position reports to the Senior Health Coordinator. The Health Coordinator manages directly a small staff in Monrovia and technically supervises the Nimba and Lofa health teams. Key responsibilities The Health Coordinator main responsibilities include: • Coordinate all the IRC primary and secondary health care projects in compliance with BPHS mandate, donor regulations, and IRC policies and procedures. • Design and roll out new and improved implementation systems (drug management, data collection, facility staff training and monitoring, MOH&SW staff incentive payment, etc) ensuring field staff inclusion and participation in the whole process and optimizing the use of resources: staff, logistical, and financial. • Monitor the project budgets in collaboration with the Field Coordinator, Logistician, Sr Health Coordinator, and Finance Department • Ensure good quality reports are submitted to the Sr Health Coordinator in a timely manner. Requirements • Medical doctor or professional health degree as a nurse or physician assistant, or MPH • Minimum of 5 years relevant work experience • Computer skills: competent in Word and Excel • Demonstrable experience in supervising, managing/coaching and training others (people management) • Previous experience in project planning, monitoring and evaluation preferably in a development or NGO context • Experience in dealing with national authorities, local and international NGO’s /UN bodies Specific Security Situation/Housing : • Security code is yellow in the country with curfew in Monrovia at midnight from Sunday to Thursday and 2am on Friday and Saturday due to risks of street criminality and petty crimes • Shared housing with one employee IRC is an Equal Opportunity Employer IRC considers all applicants on the basis of merit without regard to race, sex, color, national origin, religion, sexual orientation, age, marital status, veteran status or disability.
