Workplace: Ecublens, Lausanne, International Headquarters, Switzerland Starting Date: This position is not currently open, but frequently required at HQ Project Overview Medair HQ provides operational guidance for country programmes and activities, along with both technical and compassionate support for our relief workers. HQ staff also promote the work of Medair to the world and raise and manage the funds needed to run our life-saving and sustaining programmes. Responsibilities To supply Medair with the appropriate human resources through recruitment and staff selection. To contribute to the professional development of the HR Department. To prepare, support and liaise with the internationally recruited staff and care for their personnel & spiritual development. Qualifications • HR qualification Experience • 2 years field experience with humanitarian NGO desirable • Good knowledge of employment law, employee relations or field experience and knowledge of humanitarian HR issues • Highly developed communication, inter-personal and management skills, including: analytical skills, project and resource management, and managing multiple priorities • Capability to think strategically, identify the HR implications of the organisation's plans and to respond with an integrated HR approach Medair Standard HQ Requirements • Committed Christian • Strong adherence to Medair values • Strong English communication skills (oral and written) • Familiar with Office Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook; Internet; Acrobat Standard • Completion of Medair Relief/Rehabilitation Orientation Course (ROC) during 1st year of work Swiss or EU citizens, or those with a valid work permit for Switzerland, are eligible to apply.
